Matcha Mochi Yogurt Pops


It's been a harsh winter here in London and Spring hasn't really sprung - However today we have seen the first rays of hope that sunnier climes are on there way woop!

So now is the time to begin eperimenting with ways to cool down on those lazy sunny afternoons and these Matcha Mochi Yogurt Pops are first on the list. This recipe is from the talented Brooklynite, although now residing on a farm in Minnesota, Molly aka My Name is Yeh who's blog you can check out here for all sorts of exciting recipes.

Molly describes these beauts as 'inside out mochi ice cream balls' so why aren't you making them right now!


  • 2 c plain yogurt
  • 2 tb honey, or more to taste
  • 2 tsp matcha powder
  • a pinch of kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp almond extract
  • 1 c mochi bits


Whisk together all ingredients except for the mochi. taste and add more honey, if desired. fold in the mochi. spoon into popsicle molds, insert popsicle sticks, and freeze for a few hours.

Run the molds under warm water for easy removal.
